Candles enlighten our lives in many ways but please remember safety around your candle.

  • Never move a lit candle.
  • Never leave candles unattended while burning.
  • Always place candles and burners on heat resistant surfaces.
  • Keep candles away from direct sunlight and away from drafts.
  • Keep candles away from children and pets.
  • Keep the wax pool clean; never throw matches into the candle.
  • If your candle has a glass lid, allow the candle to cool before replacing the lid.
Handy tips to keep your candle burning to the best of its ability.
  • Keep the wick trimmed to ¼ inch. (Wood Wicks trim themselves).
  • Keep the wick upright and centred. If it curls over, it needs to be trimmed.
  • The first burn is the most important as wax has a memory.
  • Wood wicks may take a little longer to get burning. Use a gas lighter, not matches to avoid burning fingers.
  • To ensure your candle melts cleanly all the way to the bottom of the jar, burn your candle until wax melts to the side of the container but for no longer than 4 hours (excluding extra large dsplay candles made for burning for long periods).
